Your Distance Reiki Session

(Also Called Remote Healing)

If you choose to have a distance reiki session, you and I will first agree on a time for your session.

The session, in its entirety, will take about an hour, but please allow for two full hours for prep and post-session care.

Together we will follow these steps:

1.     Thirty minutes before your session, you and I will communicate (preferably via text) to confirm your appointment.

2.     At least fifteen minutes before your session, you should be in a relaxed position and away from all distractions. Your phone should be on “silent” and all televisions and other distractions should be turned off. If you have children or pets, it might be a good idea to have someone to care for them during the session.

3.     The most comfortable position varies person-by-person, so do what’s best for you. But if I had my preference, I would like you to lay down on your back on a comfortable surface, covered by a blanket.

4.     At our scheduled time, I will begin the session from my end. I begin by utilizing the traditional Reiki symbols, including the one for distant healing. I sometimes use a photo of you or a stuffed animal (yes, many of us do this!).

5.     Reiki knows where to go. So, just like with any other session, even if you’re not feeling anything, that doesn’t mean Reiki isn’t working.

6.     If you and I have agreed to sleeping sessions (where I perform distant healing at times when I know you’ll be asleep), it works the same way. There’s nothing for you to do except enjoy the benefits.

7.     Your session will last approximately 60 minutes from our scheduled start time, unless otherwise specified. I do not contact you when I am finished, simply because you will need to relax in your own space for as long as you need. When you are ready, you should gently, slowly and safely get up and drink some water.

8.     Please do not rush into anything right after your session, and take the appropriate steps (as outlined in “Your Reiki”) for gentle, post-session care.

9.     Remember, the healing process does not stop with the session. It’s a process and you may experience throughout the next several days.
